Johan also has a Chinese name: "Ma Hai Xiong"
The Ma is not like maw
but like mum without the m at the end.
Hai pronounced exactly the same as the Hi in hello.
Xiong is pronounced like see-yong. 2 syllables
but the see is very short...slide it by.
In Indonesia folks must use a non-Chinese name, so his parents chose Johan. The reason for this and many other things will make for good evening conversation!
